Lo spessore lama (kerf) è il materiale che la sega consuma ad ogni taglio. Lo scarto testa/coda è la parte di barra da non usare alle estremità, spesso danneggiata o non a misura. Lo sfrido minimo è la lunghezza sotto la quale un ritaglio è considerato troppo corto per essere riutilizzato in futuro. Tutti e tre sono modificabili prima di ogni calcolo.
Lascia il campo quantità vuoto: quella lunghezza viene comunque considerata come candidata per l'acquisto, e alla fine del calcolo trovi una proposta di cosa e quanto comprare per completare il lavoro.
